Off Menu Catering

1. Menu Options: Customers have the option to order from the et al catering menu for intimate events or events that don't require staff.

2. Variety: The catering menu offers a wide variety of lunch and dinner options, including hot dishes, room temperature options, and party boxes and platters for casual environments.

3. Ordering: Customers can place their orders for pick-up or delivery through etalfinefood.com. We do not offer delivery using on-site staffing, but a third-party delivery service is available for deliveries. While there is no delivery fee, there is an 18% service fee added to the total bill, which is associated with the third-party service. It's important to note that gratuity is not included in the pricing.

4. Pick-Up Orders: There is no service fee associated with pick-up orders. However, there is an expeditor fee for orders placed within 48 hours of the pick-up day. Delivery is not available for such orders.

Full-Service Events

1. Minimum Food Requirement: For all off-site full-service events, there is a minimum based on the style of event.

2. Per-Person Pricing: The pricing for full-service events is based on a per-person basis. The specific cost will depend on the style of the event and the menu options chosen. This allows for flexibility to cater to different preferences and budgets.

3. Staffing Costs: Catering staff are an integral part of full-service events. The staffing costs range from $65 to $85 per team member per hour. There is a minimum of 6.5 hours, which includes travel, event setup, and breakdown. Staffing needs will be outlined in the chart below.

4. Production Fee: A production fee is added to the total cost of the event, and it ranges from 10% to 20%. The actual percentage depends on the complexity of the event. This fee contributes to the coordination and execution of the event.

5. Delivery Fee: $100-$200 based on the location and size of the event.

Event Add On

Beverage Packages:

 1. Selected Premium Liquor, Wine, Beer, Soft Drink, and Ice Package: $50-$55 per person

• This package includes premium liquor, wine, beer, ice, and soft drinks for each guest.

2. Selected House Liquor, Wine, Beer, Soft Drink, and Ice Package: $40-$45 per person

• This package includes house liquor, wine, beer, ice, and soft drinks for each guest.

3. Selected Wine, Beer, & Soft Drink Package: $30-$35 per person

 • This package includes a selection of wine, beer, ice, and soft drinks for each guest.

4. Soft Drink, Iced Tea, & Lemonade Package: $10 per person

• This package includes soft drinks, iced tea, and lemonade for each guest.

The pricing for the beverage packages varies depending on the type of drinks and the level of quality included in each package. Guests can choose the package that best suits their preferences, or you can offer a variety of packages to cater to different tastes and budgets.

Rentals (tables, chairs, glassware, linens, etc.: TBD

Sales Tax: Sales tax will be added to the total cost of the event.

Servers are provided by our fabulous NYC-based team on tray services

Below are suggested and subject to change based on the location and complexity of the event.

Server guide:

1. Buffet Passer/Server:
• One-Two server for every 25 to 35 guests.

2. Seated, Plated Event Passer/Server:
• One server for every 10 to 15 guests.

3. Passed Hors d’Oeuvres Passer:
• One-Two server per 25 guests.

Bartender Guide

1. Full Liquor Service:
• One bartender for every 50 guests.

2. Beer and Wine Receptions:

• One bartender for every 60 guests.

Additional Staffing

1. Chef Requirement:
• A chef is required for seated dinners, cocktail parties, and buffets serving hot food options.

• Having a chef on-site ensures the proper preparation and presentation of hot food items, which often require more skill and attention than cold or pre-packaged options.

2. Event Captain:
• Parties of 50 or more guests will require one event captain on-site.

• An event captain plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of the event, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They serve as a point of contact for both the catering team and the event organizers, helping to manage logistics and address any issues that may arise.

Staffing Example:
1. 50 guest event serving passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet style, and bar- 1 event captain, 1 server, 1 chef, 1 bartender.

2. 100 guest event serving passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet style, and bar- 1 event captain, 2 servers, 1 chef, 2 bartenders.

3. 50 cocktail pass-only events- 1 chef, 1 captain, 1 bartender.

4. 100 cocktail pass only- 2 chefs, 1 captain, 2 servers, 2 bartenders.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation before 48 hours before the event:

A refund is possible. A 10% service fee will be deducted from the total bill for credit card processing and administrative purposes.

Cancellation within 48 hours of the event:


No refund for the event itself will be provided. You will forfeit the cost of event staff. The 10% credit card processing and administrative fee will still be deducted. The remaining balance will be placed on a gift card for future use.
